It lives in the water and on dry land.
You can hold it.
It can live up to 15 to 25 years.
It's mostly green and brown, but it has red ears.
It's an omnivore.
Crickets are it's fave thing to eat.
Can you guess what it is? I can't handle it yet, but I'll show you a pic on Sunday night!

If it's what I am thinking that is so cool! Oh I am thinking turtle? I had two turtles when I was younger and they were my favorite pets.

Its a red eared slider - a turtle that lives in water! I used to have one in my second grade classroom. A fisherman friend caught it for me since they don't carry them in pet stores anymore here - they carry salmonella. Be sure to wash your hands! =)

I'm thinking a turtle too! My 8 year old grandson just got a box turtle for his birthday this week. It's a female and quite friendly at 4 years old. She can live 40 years. Wow! He's very excited about her. I'm anxious to see the photo of your new pet!!
